

Blessed with perfect weather the first coach arrived around 10.30 am. Augustinians,
lay and religious, came from all corners of the Province; Edinburgh, Birmingham,
London, Hythe (and of course Clare) to name but a few.
The programme commenced at 11.30 with the Rosary in the Church led by Fr David Middleton, Prior Provincial, procession to the Shrine for prayer and singing of the Regina caeli.
12.30 was the Service of Reconciliation in the Marquee with personal confession for those who chose.
At 2.30 pm the Mass in honour of Our Lady of Good Counsel celebrated the Day of Pentecost,
the
Principal Celebrant being Fr David and the Preacher was Fr Lawrence Brassill
OSA, the theme of Mary, her relationship with the Church and the Grace of the Holy
Spirit.
Refreshments were served through the day by Parishioners of Clare Priory in the Parish Room.
The day also saw the launch of “Augustine of Hippo” a CTS publication of the “Great
Saints Series” by Fr Ben O’Rourke OSA, Parish Priest of Clare Priory.
Pilgrims were departing for home by 4.00 pm after a day of prayer, celebration, reconciliation and friendship.
